Introduce Yourself!
Feel free to introduce yourself here however you want.
My name is Alex, and I'm 18 from Amherst, NY (it's near Buffalo). I'm a freshman in college and I'm studying Music Industry and Computer Science. WayHome 2015 will be my first festival and I can't wait. I don't know how I'm gonna be able to wait for 5 months...

I'm evan and I'm from new Jersey. I've spent the last 3 years going to firefly but this year's lineup left my rather large crew divided. A group of us have splintered away and are making the trip to wayhome! I'm 27 and my group is all 24-30 year olds, all but one of us with festival experience. We are incredibly excited to meet you guys and bring some of our friendly south jersey attitude with us. Hope y'all like to party and make friends!

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hey, I'm Kelly from Buffalo (if the username didn't clue you in). I'm coming to Wayhome with Alex from earlier in the thread, and it'll be my first festival as well as my first time camping at all (technically I tried once before, but gave up at about 4 AM, which may have had something to do with our failure to bring a tent). It seems redundant to state that I like music, the outdoors, and (parenthetical statements) - can't wait for two of the three at Wayhome!

I'm Dakota, I'm an Associate Editor for a music publication called Live in Limbo and if people are interested I can post links to the articles when my publication covers a band on the bill when they come through Toronto. If someone doesn't have a ticket yet, I posted on the Reddit sub that my site is giving away free tix in a contest.
I've been to Roo twice before and am going this year as well. I have also been to Osheaga once, Virgin Festival (the now defunct TO one) 3 times. I go a lot of shows and I watch a lot of movies! I look forward to metting all you folks.

My name is Cayley, I'm 18 years old and I live in Oro-Medonte. This is my first festival and first experience camping.
I'm pretty easy going, I like just about every kind of music. I like horror movies and comedies... My username on reddit is VivaNutella, same as here. If you want to talk feel free to message me there or add me on Facebook or something! I don't have any friends coming with me, but there will be people I know there (if that makes sense?). I'm super excited to meet everyone and hopefully make some new friends!

Once the daily lineups are announced, all of us (people from the subreddit included) should figure out our schedules and maybe meet up for a show or two.

What up peeps? I'm Chris, just turned 30 almost three weeks ago.I'm from Akron, OH. (30 min. SE of Cleveland. Or, put another way, I'm three hours down I-90 from Kelly and Alex). This is my first festival, camp, solo Canada trip, solo international trip, and the closest thing to a vacation I've had since 2007. The next four months are going to suck, but that weekend should prove to be AWESOME

Welcome dude, what made you choose to come to Canada for your first camping fest? Was it the lineup? The venue? Something else?

The lineup, and specifically, the middle of the ticket. I have Sirius XM in my car, so if I'm not listening to Electric Area or BPM (because I'm a good little techno kiddie), I'm generally listening to Iceberg or CBC Radio 3 (mainly the latter). So for the last year, I've been digging on Canadian indie rock, and it happens that pretty much all of my favorites will be in one spot, so I said hell yeah! (Shad, Marvelous Mark, Foxes in Fiction and Electric Youth are the only Canadian artists from my current epic driving playlist that are not already announced for Wayhome)

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hi All,
My name's Michelle and I'm coming up with my husband (noreallyitsme) from Thornhill, ON. We have been attending camping festivals in the US for several years now and attended Gentlemen of the Road in Simcoe back in 2013. I'm super pumped to have another (hopefully annual) camping festival only a couple hours away, and with no border crossing in between!
Artists I'm most excited for would be Modest Mouse (a fave since high school, which is quite a long time ago now haha, though I've never caught them live), St. Vincent, Sylvan Esso, Alt-J, Courtney Barnett, Alvvays, and Vance Joy.
We will be camping with Camp Reddit and I encourage everyone else to join us! Camping in a group is always better than camping on your own
If anyone has questions about camping festivals, including logistical questions, what to expect, what to bring, etc., feel free to ask me and I'll do my best to answer! After at least 2 camping fests per summer for the last few years, I've learned a lot and would be happy to share my experience.

Re: Introduce Yourself!
That's awesome Roc_Borja. Michelle Pappas is good people! We met her at EFF and also saw her at Mtn Jam (I think not last year, but the year before). Hopefully we'll meet at Wayhome - are you planning on camping with the Camp Reddit group? If not, you should consider it! Let me know if you want any info about it and I can point you in the right direction.
